This Rough Cut is “Live Loud Love Deep,” a song I wrote following the unexpected passing of my childhood friend and neighbor, Charlie, in 2025.

Charlie was a Def Leppard fanatic and a staple bass player in the local northeast Iowa rock scene. This recording leans into classic rock roots as a tribute to him.

Charlie was the kind of person who always had a joke ready, but more importantly, he was a pillar of support for his family and the young people in our community.
